Why monitor

Small environmental problems are easiest to catch early.

Water where it should not be

External leak rope detects water around heaters, pumps and appliances.

Humidity that can damage stored items

Track sustained high humidity and receive early warnings.

Temperatures approaching freeze risk

Get notified before vulnerable spaces become dangerously cold.

How it works

Place the monitor where it can see the room, then route the leak rope to the risk.

Place the monitor

Set the main unit where USB power and reliable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi are available in the room you want to watch.

Route the leak rope

Place the external sensing rope near the highest-risk water source, such as a heater, washer, sump pit or floor low point.

Connect the app

Use BLE setup, connect Wi-Fi, bind the device to your account and choose alert thresholds.

The main unit measures temperature and humidity where the unit is placed. Large basements, divided rooms or remote water sources may need more than one device.

Power and connection boundaries

Clear behaviour beats vague battery claims.

Daily power USB-C is recommended for continuous monitoring.
AA batteries Battery runtime testing is in progress. USB-C is recommended for continuous monitoring.
Power outage Local behaviour depends on final hardware and firmware validation; cloud alerts require available network power.
Wi-Fi outage Local buzzer and LED behaviour are designed to continue; cloud notifications resume after connectivity returns.
Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is used for cloud telemetry. Keep the unit where the router signal is reliable.
BLE Bluetooth is used for setup and Wi-Fi provisioning, not as the primary remote monitoring path.
Subscription Core alerts, device health and essential history are intended to stay available without a mandatory subscription.

Trust and limits

Useful early warning, with honest boundaries.

Secure checkout

Payments use Stripe Checkout. Taxes are calculated from the shipping address during checkout.

Support target

Email support handles setup, order and device questions while the support knowledge base grows.

Certification status

ISED/FCC final product status is pending. No certification mark or approval number is claimed on this site.

HavnCraft Sentry is an early-warning environmental monitor. It is not a life-safety device, smoke alarm, carbon-monoxide alarm, flood-prevention system or certified mould detector. Alerts depend on device placement, power, network availability and notification settings.

Questions before buying

Full FAQ
Where should I place HavnCraft Sentry?

Place the main unit where USB power and reliable Wi-Fi are available. Route the external leak rope to the highest-risk water source.

Does it work without Wi-Fi?

Local alarm behaviour is designed to continue for key events, but phone notifications and remote monitoring require cloud connectivity.

Does it require a subscription?

Core alerts, device health and essential history are intended to remain available without a mandatory subscription.

What happens during a power outage?

USB-C is recommended for continuous monitoring. AA battery runtime and backup behaviour depend on final hardware and firmware validation.

How long do the AA batteries last?

Battery runtime testing is in progress. We will publish verified numbers only after final firmware and hardware testing.

Can one device cover my whole basement?

One device monitors the main unit location and the routed leak rope. Large or divided spaces may need multiple devices.
