No professional installation required for the standard kit.
Choose a room, keep the main unit above the floor, route only the external leak rope to the water-risk area, then provision Wi-Fi from the companion app.
2. Keep the unit dry
The main unit is not waterproof. Place it above the floor where USB-C power and Wi-Fi are reliable.
3. Route the rope
Run the leak rope to the floor area most likely to get wet. Avoid placing the main unit directly in standing-water risk.
